Story in Brief
Granny lived in a village and had very weak eyesight because her old glasses were scratched and spotted. Her grandson Mani and his father wanted her to get new glasses from the eye hospital in Mussoorie. At first, Granny didn't want to go because she didn't want to leave Mani, whom she had raised since he was a baby.
Finally, she agreed to go if Mani came with her. They walked together to Nain and stayed at his uncle's house. The next day, they took a bus to Mussoorie, but a landslide blocked the road. Brave Granny decided to climb the mountain path instead of turning back. They walked through forests and hills, finally reaching Mussoorie at night.
At the eye hospital, the doctor was shocked by her old glasses and gave her a better pair. For the first time in years, Granny could see Mani clearly and was very happy. She also saw many lovely things on the way back - people, animals, and even a rainbow.
Granny got new glasses, and Mani got new shoes. Both were happy, and their journey brought them even closer.
